This article will explain the basics of the Web 2.0 Designer. For further information please see our
Flux Wiki or contact
support@fluxcorp.com.
To start using the Web 2.0 Designer you will first have to start an engine, secure or unsecured, as well as the Operations Console. Once both the engine and Operations Console are started navigate to the following link:
http://localhost:7186
Once you have navigated to the link above, you should find yourself on a page displaying all of the running Flux engines. If you do not see the engine you started, perform the following steps:
- Click the Sign In link in the upper right corner.
- For Security Key use "admin".
- A button "Add New Engine" should have appeared in the lower left corner.
- Click the button and enter your engine information.
- After you have inputted your engine information click the "Add to List" button.
Now that your engine is present on the engines list page click on it. You should find yourself on the Flow Charts page of the Operations Console. Find the Designer menu item and click on that.
To change the name of your flow chart and view its properties click on the flow chart icon to the right of the name. Make sure to keep the "/" at beginning of the name, this is what namespace the flow chart is in.
Now that you have named your flow chart you can start creating a flow. Select a trigger/action and drag it to the workspace. Now double click on your trigger/action to see its properties.
Next, you will want to drag another action/trigger to the workspace and connect them. To create the connecting flow between the two actions/triggers, you will want to select the connect tool from the tool bar. Once you have done this click on the start action and then drag to the action/trigger you want it to flow to.
Once you have configured your actions/triggers you can either save your flow chart to the repository or export the flow chart to the engine.
