Flux installation jars descriptions and versions

This article describes the jars that are included with the installation of Flux.

Below is a list of all of the jars and their version included with the Flux install:

activation.jar
Required when using Flux Mail actions and triggers. Required by the Designer.

batik.jar: batik-1.6
Required by the Flux Designer and Operation Console to display graphical representations of flow charts.

bsf.jar
Required for scripting support.

bsh.jar: bsh-2.0b4
Required for scripting support.

commons-logging.jar: commons-logging - 1.0.3
Required for logging if logger type is set to "commons_logging" or when caching, agents, or real-time monitoring is enabled.

hsqldb.jar: hsqldb-1.8.0
Required only if running Flux using an inmemory database.

i4jruntime.jar
Required by Windows installer.

installer.jar
Required by Windows installer.

j2ee.jar
Required when using EJB's and JMS actions. Also required by the Designer.

jbosscache.jar: JBossCache-1.4.0.SP1, JGroups-2.2.9.4
Required when caching, agents, or realtime flow chart monitoring is used.

jettyforflux.jar: jettyforflux-1.6.2
Required when using the Jetty web server.

jettystart.jar: jettystart-1.2
Required when using the Jetty web server.

log4j-1.2.7.jar: log4j-1.2.7
Required for logging if the logger type is set to "log4j".

mail.jar: mail-1.2
Required when using mail actions and triggers. Also required by the Designer.

smack.jar
Required for instant message functionality. Also required by the Designer.

webservices.jar: org.apache.commons.discovery-0.2, JAX-RPC-1.1, SAAJ-1.2, JWSDL-1.5.1
Required when using the web services functionality. Also required by the Designer.

xerces.jar: xerces-1.4.4
Required by the Flux Designer and Engine for importing and creating flow charts.
